Low T Treatment – Options are Available for Low Testosterone

If you have a medical condition called low T, treatment options may be available to you. The only way to know for sure if you have low testosterone is to see your doctor. He can give you a simple test that will check your T levels and let you know if you have normal levels or if they are lower than they should be. Even if they are on the low side, that doesn’t mean that they’re too low for you. Every man is different. Consider whether you have any symptoms of low T, though, in order to make a better determination of whether you’re suffering from low T.

If you have low testosterone, you’re generally lethargic, and you’re not very interested in sex. You may also notice that you’ve gained some weight around the middle and that you don’t quite have the muscle mass you used to. Doctors used to say that all of these things were just from getting older, but now they know that most of them are caused by low T. That way your doctor will know what he needs to in order to advise you, and you can make an informed decision as to whether you want some type of treatment or would prefer simply to adjust to having lower T levels.

Having low T won’t hurt you. In men who are middle-aged and older it is a normal occurrence. However, you may find that you don’t feel the same way you used to. As long as you understand the risks and potential side effects, your doctor can tell you whether you would be a good candidate, how much treatment will cost, and how long you’ll need to take testosterone, as well as in what dosage. Until you’re tested and confirmed to have low T, though, you can’t get treated for it. Ask your doctor to test you for low T.
