You might not want to ponder the thought of that too long because it might be icky. But, just know that you have nothing to fear. And as George Michael once said, “Sex is natural, sex is good, not everybody does it, but everybody should.”

He obviously didn’t shy away from expressing his thoughts on the topic, and neither should you.

With that being the case, here are some things you can do to ensure you are firing on all cylinders come post time!

And, it will cut down on disease risk too! According to the Mayo Clinic, abdominal fat in men can lead to cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. You don’t want any of that junk busying up your life.

Get Your Cardio Up Before Your Penis

In case you were unaware, there are a bunch of “caverns” in your penis that fills up with blood when you get erect.
If you partake in regular bouts of cardiovascular exercise[1], you will have an easier time getting blood to flow to said caverns.

However, if you have the cardio of a 90-year-old chain smoker, then you will struggle. The best case scenario is to do a few days of cardio every week for a good 45 to 60 minutes.

Strengthen Your Core

Here’s one last little important tidbit for you take into consideration. There is a better than average chance you will be on top of your mate at some point. It would behoove you to get your abs and core as strong as possible for this feat of strength.

Take this scenario into consideration. You are in the action phase when all of a sudden, your back goes out. What do you do? You can’t just stop and leave work unfinished. Your lover will think you’re a wuss! You need to finish the job.

Instead of risking permanent and irreversible damage, don’t let yourself get into this spot in the first place. All you need to do is strengthen your abs and all other areas of your core.

Then you can thrust in confidence and you won’t have to worry about being put into traction for a series of months.

Set aside sometime two or three days a week to target your abs, obliques, glutes and lower back with targeted exercises. Plank holds with alternating leg raises are gems. You can also do hanging knee raises, bicycle crunches, mountain climbers and side plank hip abductions.

It can be your little secret too. Your significant other doesn’t even need to know. Do them on your own time when no one is home or when you have a stretch of time in another room that you are by yourself.

Just don’t do this abdomenizing workout right before you might be having sex[2]. You could end up collapsing on your mate because your core muscles are too fatigued to hold you up.

And if that should ever be the case, you’re just going to have to submit and take the bottom position. Then your workload is basically nothing.
