Controlling Ejaculation – Ways to Limit Ejaculation Problems

Premature ejaculation is probably the number one sexual problem in men. Premature ejaculation is when a man ejaculates before sexual penetration or shortly after the penetration occurs. The common definition is that the man finishes before the woman is even near being ready to orgasm. While it may be a common problem, no man wants to have to deal with it and there are ways they can work at controlling ejaculation. While it may be rough to hear, most of the problems behind premature ejaculation are all in the head. There are few physical causes that would affect a man’s ability to be effective in controlling ejaculation.

Controlling Ejaculation

One of the biggest steps toward controlling ejaculation is for the man to get a hold on his anxiety. Performance anxiety is a very common problem among men. It usually happens to men who are beginners at sex or it is their first time with a woman. However, there are some men who continually have problems controlling ejaculation. There are some things that can be done to alleviate the anxiety before a sexual encounter. Meditating or using positive imagery can help. The biggest help in controlling ejaculation problems is for men to talk it over with their partner. Sometimes the problem will have nothing to do with the bedroom but will stem from issues with work or finances that need to be addressed.

Strengthening the pelvic muscles can help a man with any problems controlling ejaculation. The stronger the pelvic muscles are the easier it will be for the man to delay the ejaculation response. The position the man has sex in will have play a part in that. If the man lays on his back in the missionary position the pelvic muscles necessary in controlling ejaculation will be made stronger. Men can also do Kegel exercises to strengthen their pelvic muscles much like women can.

Using a start-stop method while having sex will help a man who is working on controlling ejaculation. An example of this would be starting the sexual encounter with manual stimulation. It would then be stopped and oral stimulation would be used before moving on to intercourse. The start-stop method can be used in intercourse by changing positions when the orgasm feeling starts to make itself known. It may seem like a hassle but using the start-stop method will prolong the sexual experience and will be a big help in controlling ejaculation.
