Natural and Medical Treatment for ED

Of all of the conditions that men can suffer from, one of the most common, and most frustrating, is erectile dysfunction. By definition, erectile dysfunction is a condition where a man is not able to achieve and hold an erection long enough to engage in sexual intercourse. As a sex life is very important to many men, it is understandable as to why it would cause so many problems in a man’s life. Many men choose not to live with such a condition and they begin their search for an ED treatment to help cure them of erectile dysfunction.

Natural and Medical Treatment for ED

As there are many different treatments available, there is no one magical ED treatment that will cure all men. Different methods and some trial and error may be needed before the right treatment plan can be found. In medical terms, an erection occurs when the man is sexually stimulated. The body reacts by filling the penis with blood causing the penis to become engorged. This is how an erection is formed. This process does not happen to a person with erectile dysfunction. A proper treatment plan will be based on finding out the reason why the blood is not flowing to the penis and why is does not become engorged.

Each ED treatment plan will vary and most doctors begin at the basics. They ask the patient about their lifestyle. They ask about what they are eating, how much they drink, how much they smoke, and things of that nature. If the man has an unhealthy lifestyle, a quick fix may be to make a few lifestyle changes. If a simple lifestyle change does not work, oral pills may be the trick. The pills are taken before any sexual activity can occur. These pills can take about 30 minutes to take effect.

Oral pills are the most common ED treatment that is being used today. Most men see good results from these pills and no need for further treatment is ever needed. If the pills do not work or if the pills stop working over time, there are surgical options that can be sought out. A penis implant can be implanted into the penis or the blood vessels and veins can be reconstructed to allow for better blood flow. Erectile dysfunction is a condition that many men suffer from but do not have to. There are many treatment options available if they take the time to seek them out.
