Eurycoma Longifolia is a very commonly-used ingredient that is included in male enhancement supplements. The substance is an extract of a tree found mainly in Malaysia and Indonesia and it is sometimes referred to as Tongkat Ali. The main purpose of Eurycoma Longifolia is as an aphrodisiac and supporter of male virility.

Manufacturers of the product claim that it is just as beneficial as the Drug medication Viagra, the Drug used to treat Erectile Dysfunction, but there is very little clinical evidence shown to back this up.

Most manufacturers of products containing this ingredient will show customer testimonials that state how effective their product is, but in cases such as this, the Eurycoma Longifolia is likely combined with other male sexual performance substances such as L-Arginine, Tribulus, Catuaba and Epimedium.

The amount of Eurycoma Longifolia needed to produce optimal results is not known, although whatever the amount, it will have a cumulative effect in the body, meaning that it will take several weeks for the user to experience positive results (unlike Viagra which works almost immediately).

Because the effects of long-term use of Eurycoma have not been studied, it is not known how safe the substance is, which is why most brands will recommend that the consumer ‘cycles’ the product after results have been achieved. It is known however, that men suffering from any form of liver or kidney disease should not use the substance.

In addition to having a libido-supporting effect on the body, Eurycoma Longifolia is also said to support the levels of Testosterone in the body which may also have support sexual stamina and muscle mass. Some have reported that it can also reduce anxiety (which will help with treating Erectile Dysfunction), while others have said that it can actually support irritability.

Ideally, before using any form of medication, Drug or not, the consumer should consult with a specialist who will be able to determine the best product for their condition. It would also be recommended that the product carries a good money back guarantee, and if possible, offers free samples for the consumer to try before purchasing.
